The Rute Team

Meet the team behind Rute Studio. Our instructors are experts in their craft, each bringing deep knowledge, precision, and care to every session. Trained across a wide range of Pilates disciplines, our team specialises in all the classes we offer. Whether you’re stepping into the studio for the first time or refining an advanced practice, you’ll be guided by professionals who understand the nuances of alignment, strength, mobility, and mindful movement.

Jodie - Rute Director & Reformer Instructor

With over 15 years in the fitness industry, Jodie brings energy, expertise, and a true passion for movement to our studio. She’s a highly skilled instructor across multiple disciplines, a dedicated Pilates teacher, and a qualified sports masseur. Jodie has created her own unique method, combining classical Pilates, dynamic movement, and Reformer strength training to help clients build strength, confidence, and a real connection with their bodies. At Rute Studio, her mission is simple: to create a space where every client feels welcome, supported, and inspired to move, grow, and thrive.

Bryony - Rute Manager & Instructor

With a background in both Yoga and Reformer Pilates, she uses breath as an anchor — something that keeps you present while you’re pushing your limits. She’s our Rute Manager and Instructor, so she knows the studio inside out — not just as a teacher, but as someone who helps create the space and experience for everyone who walks through the door. Her classes are dynamic and genuinely fun. She’s particularly brilliant at them — expect to burn, sweat, and sculpt, but in a way that respects what your body actually needs. She focuses on “Controlled Kinetic Loading” (strengthening your body through its full range of motion), which is all about building longevity, not just short-term results. You’ll work hard in Bryony’s classes. But you’ll also move with purpose, and you’ll leave feeling like your body can do more than you thought.

Flick - Pilates Instructor

Flick has been teaching movement for 17 years - first as a professional dancer, now as a Pilates instructor. She trained at a performing arts school from age 9, where she was introduced to Pilates by Alan Herdman. After years touring as a performer, she came back to Pilates when she needed movement and balance again. It stuck. She’s STOTT Pilates trained (Level 3 in Matwork and Reformer) with a degree in Dance. Her classes are strong, dynamic, and energetic - she’s big on technique and form, but makes sure everyone feels capable, whatever their level.

Rachael - Pilates Instructor

Rachael has been teaching Reformer Pilates while also working as cabin crew for over 20 years. She’s traveled the world, met thousands of people, and brings that energy and warmth into every class. Her passion is helping people move better and she makes sure everyone feels supported, whatever their level. Her smile is infectious, her classes feel welcoming, and she’ll guide you through your practice at the pace that works for you. You’ll find her on Sundays at 10am and Fridays at 10:30am.

Liv - Pilates Instructor

With a passion for movement and motivation, Liv brings the fire to every class. As a qualified Yoga Teacher, Dynamic Reformer Instructor, and Level 2 Fitness Instructor, her sessions blend strength, flow, and precision- all powered by some pumping tunes to keep the vibes high! She loves to challenge her clients to push beyond what they think they’re capable of, helping them build confidence through strength and control. Her approach combines the transformative benefits of reformer with the proven power of resistance training- the perfect recipe for feeling and looking your best! Get ready to sweat, shake, and surprise yourself with what your body can do.

Anna - Pilates Instructor

Anna is a STOTT certified instructor, trained across Mat, Reformer, Cadillac/Tower, Chair, Barrels, Dynamic Reformer, and Barre. She's also trained to work with special populations, including pre and postnatal clients and those with osteoporosis. Her classes focus on safe, effective movement that meets you at your level. She works specifically on healthy spines, good balance, and functional strength — the kind that makes everyday life easier. Anna believes exercise should be about quality of life, not just aesthetics.
